winter-break

Great start to term two holidays! Yesterday went out with the parents to go see some houses. One in which mum and I really adore. It's a house which has a beautiful French Farmhouse style. I especially liked the feel it gives you, as if you were in walking into Europe... Anyways, after that, we finally went to Rochelle Adonis! It's a café on Brisbane Street, Northbridge. We had lunch there and it was delicious! The hot chocolate was so good and it even came with some yummy handmade marshmallows! There were macaroons too! Next time I should have taken some photos secretly!

As we were driving back, we stopped by the supermarket to go buy some groceries. I also decided to make Tiramisu! Even the guy who works there guessed it! hahahhaha.

Used the Complete Perfect Recipes book by David Herbert, to make this lovely dessert.

daddy, with his cold espresso. hahaha.

this smells so good.

Had to leave the Tiramisu in the fridge overnight so for the mean time, we went to watch the World Cup. So happy Germany won. WOO!

Olive came over today and we did a photoshoot. Why? Because she was accepted into Lookbook! Now everyone congratulate her! ahahhaa. I don't think I should post up any photos but oh well...

After that we just went to the city to do a bit of shopping. Sadly, we didn't find anything except for some books. hahaha. Shopping became a bit boring -which is really rare- and we decided to eat the Tiramisu I made! Had to walk for a looooonnnggg time. But it paid off because the Tiramisu was a success! Yay!

Two of the photos, hehehe...

aagggghh!

Haven't blogged for a really, really, REALLYYY long time. I just suddenly lost the motivation, you know? School can make you so stressed you just can't be bothered doing anything anymore! Can't even imagine what next year will be like. AAHHH. But I'm so glad that the holidays are going to start in a few days! And all those lucky people who started their holidays early, ahem, SHERLYNN & KIM?! You lucky $!&@()# Especially you Kim, going to PARIS?! hahaha. Just kidding, you two have fun!

Now I'm just craving Oreos.

or maybe some Ladurée macaroons. They look so delicious.

And did I mention? Last week, my 18 relatives from Singapore came to visit! Yes that's right, 18 people! That makes, 23 people living under one tiny roof?! hahaha. But it was fun, having so many relatives in the same room -especially dinner time!- made it so warm you didn't even need heating, even though it's winter! Dinner was really crazy every night, there was so much food, it was like an all-you-can-eat! Midnight movies with honeyed-microwave-popcorn was the best. Really wished they could have stayed longer though, but at least I have lots of happy memories! AND, I found out one of my cousins ate at Ladurée! Ahhhh, I'm so jealous! But he did say he was planning to go for another Euro-trip at the end of the year and he might be able to take me along! Fingers-crossed that it will happen!

ONE MORE THING! Lauren, the really-awesome-girl-who-is-so-funny, bought me LULA! She found it it some little post office near her house! THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU! (It's the same issue as the picture from my old post!) LOVE IT SO MUCH!

birthday girlss!

Celebrated me and Lauren's birthday party on Saturday! Woohoo! It was fun and there were quite a number of people there. Served tacos, sushi, spring rolls, chicken wings, chips, lollies and heaps of drinks! Lauren even took the time to label each cup and what made it so awesome is that she even personalised it to how she knew each guest! There were also spare cups which had noses on them! I'll show you more photos when my internet is faster. I should have taken a photo of each one but I was too busy running around!
We talked, had fun and whacked the pi
ñata! It was so fun and there were so much candy in it! Everyone had to spin around give times while being blindfolded and then had three attempts at breaking it open! It was really fun and the candy was awesome!

Oddly enough, I was able to find the exact piñata online! Maybe it's a very common one sold in Perth.
We also had a massive silly string war which was very messy and stuck to your clothes! Astri had heaps of it stuck in her hair and the colours blended very well with the piñata!

My favourite bit of the party was when played Hide-and-Seek! It was night time and we tried to turn off most of the lights in the house. There were two people who were the 'Seekers' and the rest of us had to hide. It was quite scary as it became eerily quiet at times but it was all okay when you found more people to help you out! One moment which will probably stay in my memory forever was when Sarah, Sherlynn, Carryne, John and I went to hide out in the shed! It was a really good hiding spot as no one ever thought of looking inside. I'm pretty sure we probably stayed in there for about 10 minutes and in that 10 minutes, many people thought that some of us had already left the party! But you know what? I think that inside the shed, you get the giggles because I.COULD.NOT.STOP.LAUGHING. Or giggling for that matter. Sherlynn kept having to shut me up -which meant slapping me in the face- and of course, it didn't work. It only caused me to laugh uncontrollably! We also played a horror sound -I personally didn't think it was one bit scary- but the others did. Eventually we had to come out as no one could find us and they were giving up hope. They were all so surprised to see us there as they didn't think we were there anymore!

We danced and chatted for the rest of the night and it was good. Oh and did I mention? The birthday cake was a 3-D TOTORO!

Super cute right?

when you're fifteen

WOOHOO! On Monday I was officially 15!! It was me and Mum's birthday -yes, we have the same birth date- and we cooked dinner for everyone! I know that you'd probably be wondering, wait, shouldn't the rest of your family do the cooking? Well, my mum and I just loveee cooking so we made everyone Tom Yam Soup! It was good but it was so spicy! Made my lips swell for about 5 minutes. In a way, it made me seem like I had an extremely big mouth when in reality, my mouth is very small. (Even my dentist says so!)

I'm really excited for this weekend because it's going to be me and Lauren's birthday party! I know that it's a week late but that's because she wasn't able to do it last Saturday. So we're having it this weekend!! YAY!

love/hate

This week has been a love/hate week. A love week because on Wednesday there was a half day but a hate week because I found out that Tokio Hotel was performing in Singapore while I was stuck here, in Perth. Not saying that there is anything wrong with Perth but it's just the fact that Tokio Hotel performed in the Audi Fashion Festival, Singapore!!!! And at the Audi Fashion Festival, DSquared had a fashion show there -I loveeee their clothes, esp the Spring/Summer '10 collection!- and the band performed Automatic and Phantomrider -my favourite!- acoustic version. Oh and, did I mention? MY AUNTY WAS INVITED TO THAT SHOW. ARGH! Tell you the whole story...

My Aunty was happily shopping in Germany when she received a phone call. The phone call was about the upcoming fashion festival that was going to be held in Singapore. It was the Audi Fashion Festival. However, because of all the ash from the volcanic eruption, all flights going out of Europe was cancelled. And because of this, she declined the invitation.

SHE DECLINED IT. NOO! Oh well, at least she's back in Singapore now. Anyway, I'm still really sad that Tokio Hotel performed in Singapore and that I was not able to go. Maybe next time. (I hope they're going in December because I'm going to be there! Muahhahahaha)

On Monday, it was Anzac Day holiday. I went over to Lauren's house to help out with the upcoming dance performance. We ate Nando's and then Lauren made passion fruit sorbet. It was so sweet! She made the sorbet using a new machine they bought and it looked really interesting -I told my mum to buy it, but I don't think she will- and its functions include a blender, food processor and scales. It was really cool. Well anyway, we had to iron on numbers onto shirts that they bought because it was part of the costume for the dance. However, while I was ironing one of the shirts, I didn't see the iron and I banged my arm into it! OUCHHHHH! It was really hot and I still have the scar. Luckily it's healing. (I took a photo but I'm currently and my cousin's house so I won't be able to upload it.) But the shirt turned out alright! Then I just took a video of their dance and did more stuff later on.

On Wednesday, it was a half-day. WOOHOO! Me, Astri and Sarah went to Leederville straight after school. We met up with Astri's older sister and her friend too. We went to eat at Just Burger and omg, it's so good! Seriously! If you have not tried it, you must! I mean, YOU MUST, MUST, MUST try it! I ordered a cheeseburger and Sarah and Astri ordered a chicken Burger. After finishing that delicious lunch, we took a look at some of the shops around there. They were independent cloth shops and there was some awesome stuff in there! Bad thing was, it was way out of our budgets! After that, we went to walked to a retro cafe which had lots of paper lamps hanging and the whole wall was filled with posters! I especially liked the massive Big Day Out poster from 1993 -at least I think it's from that year!-. Then we just went to the city. We kept missing all the buses so we had to keep on running for it! It was definitely our exercise for the day. HAHAHA. Oh and, I bought a snood. HOORAY!

Last night my family celebrated me and my mum's birthday! We went out to eat at Ciao Italia and it was yuuummmmmmmmmmmmm!! Ate so much hahaha. We ordered pizza, pesto mussels, fettuccine, calamari, ravioli and of course, TIRAMISU! The Tiramisu is the best. Now I feel like eating it hehehe. Did I mention? It was Lauren's birthday yesterday! She's so old! hahahahha.

ME AND MY MUM'S BIRTHDAY TOMORROW! :D

we ♥ vintage

At the We ♥ Vintage market yesterday afternoon. It was held in The Flying Scotsman, Mt. Lawley. It's a new market and is going to be held monthly. Jasmine, Sarah, Olivia and I went and it was my first time in Mt. Lawley.

Sarah and I looking for the perfect piece to add to our wadrobe (:
(My hair is nearly as long as hers! WOOHOO!)

Jasmine really wanted this hat but unfortunately, she didn't. ):

Awesome tv!

Thanks Jasmine for the photos! I'll post up more photos later from the video Jasmine made (:

We walked around after and Olivia was debating whether she wanted to buy these hobo gloves from Planet but it was a huge rip-off so she didn't.

We also went into Store and looked at all the awesome bits and bobs inside. It was so awesome and it's bigger than the one in Fremantle.

untitled

I just found out from my dad that the computer that crashed is not able to recover all the files. It's depressing thinking that all my pictures which I have taken are lost. Forever. I shouldn't have procrastinated when wanting to post up all those photos, such as the ones with friends and at the Lady Gaga concert. Oh well, no point getting all sulky about it.

On Saturday Sarah, Jasmine, Astri and I went to Olivia's house. It was a sleepover but Astri was not able to sleepover. However, surprisingly, Jasmine was allowed to! I don't know how but she was allowed! Probably her first ever with actual consent from her parents. hahaha. We played Cooking Mama, Band Hero and Singstar. My favourite was Cooking Mama but I got sick of it after a while. Later we were a bored so we went into the fridge. That was when we realised there were about 30 pomegranates in the fridge! It was crazy! Olivia offered to cut it for us and we just said YES! Thing is, no one knew how to eat it! But we eventually figured it out and it was so, different! After managing to eat most of the pomegranate we watched 50 First Dates. It's one of my all-time favourite and it was sweet! Astri left when the movie ended and so we -mostly I- decided to watch a Thai horror movie that I brought along! Sadly, we stopped 20 minutes into the show because Jasmine, Sarah and Olivia were to chicken to watch it. hahahha. We later watched Cinderella Story and all of us were shocked to find out that Sarah had never ever watched it! We did many other random things later on but you should just check out Sarah's blog, www.colourmesarah.blogspot.com, to find out the details.

Yesterday I went shopping with Kim, Felicia, Ji-Won, Maria and Yoona. They were shopping for their dance outfits but I just tagged along. (I'm not in the dance haha). Firstly we shopped around Harbour Town and I never knew that some of the shops even existed there! Later we just shopped in the city but I didn't find anything that I wanted.

Today was the first day of Term 2 and there was just so much to talk about! And just then Sarah sent me the most hottest Tumblr ever. Literally. I'll just post up my favourite. Teehee!

Why He's Hot:
  1. Let’s get the obvious out of the way — this girlyman is not handsome. He is fucking beautiful, divine, heavenly, whatever you want to call it, and heart-achingly so. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Bill motherfucking Kaulitz, and he can do whatever the fuck he wants and always look fabulous doing it.
  2. He’s in a band with his twin brother, and he sings. Not only that, he did some modeling not too long ago.
  3. Not only do millions of girls worldwide lust after this German hottie, some men do as well. Even Adam Lambert thinks he’s gorgeous.
  4. He has pouty lips that are just begging to be chewed on. Don’t even pretend that you don’t want those lips all over your body and some other places. He also has cheekbones and a jawline that could cut glass, a tongue piercing a smile that is the sun shining through the grey skies on a cloudy day and lastly, a fucking sexy tattoo.
  5. Now when he hits the stage, oh hell. You can forget about him being feminine, he turns into a GOD. He has all the right poses and he can dance, damnit. There is 6 feet of sex in this 20-year-old body and I bet you just want him strapped to your bed.
Just have to agree with all this. Don't you think?

SUMMER!

No, no, it's not summer. What I meant was that I made my very fist Polyvore set called Summer! Hip Hip Hooray! I never really knew what the Polyvore website was all about. But I know now that it is so awesome! If you were like me two days ago, not knowing what Polyvore is, well it is an ah-ma-zing website that allows you to create your very own fashion sets. How cool is that?! Just check out the website: www.polyvore.com

crash

Currently feeling really guilty. Two days ago, I downloaded some file from the net. I had opened it and got what I wanted but there were some other unnecessary files. Files that I should have deleated but as my usual self, procrastinated to do so. So then my dad came in and wanted to use the comp. I logged of and forgot about the files and BOOM. The computer crashed while he was using it. We sent it for repair and the technician said that the hard drive was damaged. Dad is going to have to buy a new hard drive but the up-side of all this is that the new one would have one terabyte of memory. One terabyte! Meaning one thousand gigabytes. WOOHOO! Anyway the lesson learnt is to always deleate files that are not needed and check for viruses.

Anyway, yesterday we had a board-game-day at Astri's house! Oh and it was also Ilma's birthday! She's so old, hahahha. We played games such as Pictionary, Life!, Cranium and Jenga Truth or Dare! It was so fun! Did I mention that Astri made lasagne for us? Well she did! So goooood.

Today I had a massive Sex and the City marathon. Don't laugh at me but, I finally learnt the proper way to pronoune Hermès! It's pronounced at air-mez and not her-mees! And Mum's bread in the oven is smelling goooooooood! hahaha

honey honey

Hmmm, what have I been doing for the past three days you ask? Well, I slept over at Lauren's house last night. We ate dinner at a Japanese restaurant that was nearby her house. It was my first time being there, even though my dad always talks about how good it is. The restaurant took me by surprise because it was tiny! Literally, the sitting area was smaller than Lauren's kitchen. (or even my own kitchen!) This meant that we had to wait a while to get a table! So the lady told us we had to wait about 20 minutes. So we went to the supermarket that was near it. When we went back, a group of people were leaving and you know what happens? A stupid lady cut the queue and took our table. BITCH! We complained to the lady but she didn't even know what to do. But I guess it didn't matter because Karma will bite her in the ass. So we just waited for another 20 minutes. Good thing was, the food was so yuuum! We ordered Shoyu Ramen, Agedashi Tofu, Tempura Prawn Sushi and sweet Green Tea. Oishi!

When we went back Lauren and Rachel started practicing their dance that they have to perform next month. After that we watched one of the Thai horror movies which I brought. But to make the movie seem even better, we had to make popcorn! Since the only flavour you could get from the supermarket is normal butter, we decided to drizzle some honey on it! It was the best!

Lauren drizzling the honey. Smells good!

Voilà!

The movie that we watch was called Cadaver. I was really disappointed because the movie was not as scary as I thought. The storyline itself was really stupid! And therefore, I do not recommend you to ever watch that movie.

After that we didn't know what to do but it just so happened that there was a movie that was near Lauren's Playstation. I still don't know the name of it but it was really funny. It starred Robin Williams, a gay who owned a club with his partner. This movie was so funny and it was so much better than the previous.

On Sunday, there a Retro Market was being held in Northbridge. It was my second time going there and they sell a lot of vintage objects such as accessories, records, magazines and mainly clothing. I bought a pink tank for $5! Lauren bought a really awesome pair of earrings the shape of a machine gun!

Lauren and Rachel trying on really furry hats! (Later we found out that they were real fur and we never touched them again.)

We went to Sportsgirl and saw really cute earmuffs! Wonder if I should buy them to wear this winter.

And then we went to Icey Ice! We shared a peanut butter crêpe. It was so messy. Took a random photo of the table. (I know it doesn't look that messy but, if you were there, there were a lot of crumbs!)

addictions

I'M SO ADDICTED TO LITTLEBIGPLANET! But maybe this addiction will go away. I think I haven't told you about my addiction to other things. Things like a really awesome band from Germany. Hint* hint* to all my friends (; TOKIO HOTEL! Well, it wasn't exactly an addiction to the band but actually the front-man, Bill Kaulitz. I'm sure that this is just a phase that most girls go into when they're in high school but who am I to know. I love their music especially World Behind My Wall, from their new album and 1000 Meere, from a previous album. Curious to listen to their music? Search them up on Youtube!

Oh
and did I mention that Bill and Tom are identical twins? Cool right? (:

frozen

OHMYGOSH! LittleBigPlanet is my favourite game from today onwards! I especially love Sackboy's (the little guy who you can dress up and play around with) facial expressions! It's just way over dramatic which makes him so adorable! I played this game for the first time ever and I just couldn't stop! Astri and Olivia came over to play it too, as well as my little brother! It was so fun and i guess you could call us addicts!

Right above is Sackboy! So adorable!

But, of course, we took a break from the game for a little while. So what did we do? We went SWIMMING!

The weather was quite warm compared to the past few days. We assumed the pool would be cool and refreshing but still quite warm. Oh, how we were wrong. The water was freezing! We only stayed in the pool for 15 minutes and taking a nice hot shower right after never felt better.

Just checked Facebook and saw that there was going to be a Vintage Sale in North Perth! THANKYOU SHERLYNN!

swedish meatballs

Went to Ikea today! Woohoo! After convincing my mum and dad, we ate lunch there! Finally able to eat the delicious Swedish meatballs with cranberry sauce! I shared this chocolate-nut cake with my dad and it was good!

After that, nothing much happened except I was having a Sex and The City marathon because I had to return it today. SATC is so funny! I love Carrie! Aka, Sarah-Jessica Parker. (If you don't know who she is, search her up on Google!) Well at the video store, I was able to rent Little Big Planet for Playstation 3! I'm really excited to play it now but I'm currently watching Saving Private Ryan on Channel 7. Tatas!

better than mama

Woke up really early today! Met Astri at Hoyts to buy our tickets for The Last Song! Sarah was so lucky because she arrived when we were at the front of the line! Jasmine hadn't arrived yet so we just walked around Garden City. Astri and Sarah went to buy Boost juice but I didn't because I was still really full from my breakfast. (Which consisted of one slice of home-made bread and a fat peppery sausage!) Sarah and I showed the new Bardot store to Astri, which is right next to Sportsgirl. (Yeah, it finally opened! Well, it opened on Thursday but I was hoping that there would be an opening sale or something like that!) Well anyway, the movie was going to start soon so we went to the cinemas and waited for our show to start. Jasmine finally arrived when the movie was about to start. The movie starred Miley Cyrus and some other guy, I forgot his name.

The movie overall was pretty good however, there was one thing that really annoyed the crap out of me. That was Miley Cyrus' pout (no offence to all you Miley fans.) It pissed me off a lot whenever you saw her mouth and what made it worse was that she did it right through the movie. ARGH!

When the movie was over we went to eat waffles! And what made it even better was that because it was Tuesday, it's was Half-Price at Gelare! Thanks Jasmine who bought it for us! Ordered Vanilla Bean ice-cream and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough! Yum, yum.

Then we went over to Jasmine's! I didn't know she had a Wii so I was extremely excited when I saw it! So we immediately played Wii Fit and it was fun! The balancing game was so hard and what was harder than that was the zen guy game! Just having to sit there without moving while people tried to distract you was very difficult. Then we played Cooking Mama. We played this for ages and time flew by so quickly! Me and Sarah were versing each other and I won the first game. This was most probably beginner's luck because I continued to lose right through to the end. Astri was very into the game and she was so excitable! When we gave up on the game, we watched an all-time chick flick classic, Mean Girls. It was funny and Astri kept laughing right through the movie! Even before the funny bits, she would already start laughing!

When I went home, I went to watch Quarantine with my dad. It was a lot more thrilling than I expected because before watching this movie, I wasn't really into the camera-shaking-like-someone-actually-was-there sort of movie. But I did think that there were some moments were I thought it was funny!

Oh and, I really need to go post up the photos from the Lady Gaga concert! I'm such a procrastinator.

catch-up

Really need to do a catch-up for the last three days. Being a bit lazy to update because my Internet is capped!

Thursday.
It was the last day of term one and we get two weeks of holidays! What made this day even better was what was coming up next. Need a hint? She's a talented singer/songwriter with an outrages sense of style. Ready for it? It's LADY GAGA! I've been really excited for this day for the whole term! Astri, Jasmine and I were really pumped for the concert which was held at Burswood Dome. We went there together and arrived at 4:30pm. This meant that we had to wait for three hours! Although fortunately, Jasmine's sisters were already waiting in line before us! So we were able to cut queue. Near the door!

The concert started with a band, Semi Precious Weapons. I'm not a fan of their music but here's a photo I took of the lead singer!

As you can see, I was standing pretty close to the front! BUT, I moved further back later in the concert because I was separated from Jasmine and Astri!

Friday.
Went to an Easter party at my dad's friend's house. I didn't know anyone there but I did make a couple of new friends! Had dinner there and ohmygosh, he had the nicest tea set ever! They had a lovely floral print and their shape was so sweet! Later on, I found out that he bought them from England for $3000! Crazy right?!

Saturday.
Today I helped my mum fry pancakes for breakfast while she was busy making scones. Some of them had a really weird shape because when I flipped them, they would stick to the side and I would then have to push it to the base of the pan! But they still tasted great! My two little brothers ate so many and I think I fried about 15 pieces! My mum's scones were amazing and they were so light! (If you know what I mean!)
Later I met up with Olivia, seeing her for the first time since Monday. We looked at Bardot, which recently opened a few days ago next to Sportsgirl in Garden City. We went to the Fremantle markets and ate a crepe! It was yummy but it made my hands really sticky! We entered a random Nova game that was being held on the streets. Olivia and I won CD's but they were really crap. (We left them behind in some random store and it looked like they were selling them!) We walked around a bit more and just went back to Garden City. I tried on a really trippy denim military jacket at Forever New!

When I arrived home, my family held a dinner for a friend who just returned from his one-year trip to South America! According to him, it sounded really fun!

(I'll upload more photos tomorrow!)

simply perfect

Today was the best Monday for this term. Half-day of school for everyone! WOOHOO! Went to Garden City with my lovelies and just hanged around. Bought chips with Astri at Big Dippers. YUMM. After that we walked to Woolworths to go buy Golden Gaytime. It was me and Astri's first time trying it and it was yummy! Pretty sure it is Olivia's favourite ice-cream! Oh and, Olivia bought it for us hahaha. (Felt like such a freeloader!) Later, we just walked around and hanged at Sportsgirl for a while. Really loved these heels!

Cute right?!
courtesy of sportsgirl.com

Put lots of random clothes on Jasmine, as usual, and found an retro scarf for her to wear! hahaha. She said that it looked really Asian, which it did in a way. Astri wore awesome sunnies which looked a little bit like Lady Gaga's. Made her seem so adorable!

Sarah's cute hat and Jasmine's weird style!

At the Reject Shop, Astri bought Cadbury Chocolate and Sarah bought sour stuff! Later we went to the park! Sad thing was, Olivia didn't go with us. But we still had fun! Wished she was with us though.

We listened to music, did drawings and tried to do handstands!

The funniest thing happened while I was sitting on the swings! When I first got on it, it was really hot so I was only partially sitting on it. So when it wasn't as hot, I tried to sit on it properly. That was when the most random-est thing happened. Instead of sitting on it comfortably, I FELL OFF! So that meant that my leg was still on the swing with my head brushing against the sand! Super embarrassing, Sarah and Astri couldn't stop laughing! Luckily though, Jasmine didn't see! hahaha

Went home at around 4 o'clock. Lazed around the house and read magazines when my mum said, "What type of bread do you want to make?" Which in other words meant, "Are you going to make bread or am I going to have to do it?" And so, for the first time, I made bread. By myself!

Delicious looking, isn't it? HAHAH

Before,

and after! If you can't see the difference, well, it expanded!

smells so good!

VOILÀ !
