birthday girlss!

Celebrated me and Lauren's birthday party on Saturday! Woohoo! It was fun and there were quite a number of people there. Served tacos, sushi, spring rolls, chicken wings, chips, lollies and heaps of drinks! Lauren even took the time to label each cup and what made it so awesome is that she even personalised it to how she knew each guest! There were also spare cups which had noses on them! I'll show you more photos when my internet is faster. I should have taken a photo of each one but I was too busy running around!
We talked, had fun and whacked the pi
ñata! It was so fun and there were so much candy in it! Everyone had to spin around give times while being blindfolded and then had three attempts at breaking it open! It was really fun and the candy was awesome!

Oddly enough, I was able to find the exact piñata online! Maybe it's a very common one sold in Perth.
We also had a massive silly string war which was very messy and stuck to your clothes! Astri had heaps of it stuck in her hair and the colours blended very well with the piñata!

My favourite bit of the party was when played Hide-and-Seek! It was night time and we tried to turn off most of the lights in the house. There were two people who were the 'Seekers' and the rest of us had to hide. It was quite scary as it became eerily quiet at times but it was all okay when you found more people to help you out! One moment which will probably stay in my memory forever was when Sarah, Sherlynn, Carryne, John and I went to hide out in the shed! It was a really good hiding spot as no one ever thought of looking inside. I'm pretty sure we probably stayed in there for about 10 minutes and in that 10 minutes, many people thought that some of us had already left the party! But you know what? I think that inside the shed, you get the giggles because I.COULD.NOT.STOP.LAUGHING. Or giggling for that matter. Sherlynn kept having to shut me up -which meant slapping me in the face- and of course, it didn't work. It only caused me to laugh uncontrollably! We also played a horror sound -I personally didn't think it was one bit scary- but the others did. Eventually we had to come out as no one could find us and they were giving up hope. They were all so surprised to see us there as they didn't think we were there anymore!

We danced and chatted for the rest of the night and it was good. Oh and did I mention? The birthday cake was a 3-D TOTORO!

Super cute right?

when you're fifteen

WOOHOO! On Monday I was officially 15!! It was me and Mum's birthday -yes, we have the same birth date- and we cooked dinner for everyone! I know that you'd probably be wondering, wait, shouldn't the rest of your family do the cooking? Well, my mum and I just loveee cooking so we made everyone Tom Yam Soup! It was good but it was so spicy! Made my lips swell for about 5 minutes. In a way, it made me seem like I had an extremely big mouth when in reality, my mouth is very small. (Even my dentist says so!)

I'm really excited for this weekend because it's going to be me and Lauren's birthday party! I know that it's a week late but that's because she wasn't able to do it last Saturday. So we're having it this weekend!! YAY!

love/hate

This week has been a love/hate week. A love week because on Wednesday there was a half day but a hate week because I found out that Tokio Hotel was performing in Singapore while I was stuck here, in Perth. Not saying that there is anything wrong with Perth but it's just the fact that Tokio Hotel performed in the Audi Fashion Festival, Singapore!!!! And at the Audi Fashion Festival, DSquared had a fashion show there -I loveeee their clothes, esp the Spring/Summer '10 collection!- and the band performed Automatic and Phantomrider -my favourite!- acoustic version. Oh and, did I mention? MY AUNTY WAS INVITED TO THAT SHOW. ARGH! Tell you the whole story...

My Aunty was happily shopping in Germany when she received a phone call. The phone call was about the upcoming fashion festival that was going to be held in Singapore. It was the Audi Fashion Festival. However, because of all the ash from the volcanic eruption, all flights going out of Europe was cancelled. And because of this, she declined the invitation.

SHE DECLINED IT. NOO! Oh well, at least she's back in Singapore now. Anyway, I'm still really sad that Tokio Hotel performed in Singapore and that I was not able to go. Maybe next time. (I hope they're going in December because I'm going to be there! Muahhahahaha)

On Monday, it was Anzac Day holiday. I went over to Lauren's house to help out with the upcoming dance performance. We ate Nando's and then Lauren made passion fruit sorbet. It was so sweet! She made the sorbet using a new machine they bought and it looked really interesting -I told my mum to buy it, but I don't think she will- and its functions include a blender, food processor and scales. It was really cool. Well anyway, we had to iron on numbers onto shirts that they bought because it was part of the costume for the dance. However, while I was ironing one of the shirts, I didn't see the iron and I banged my arm into it! OUCHHHHH! It was really hot and I still have the scar. Luckily it's healing. (I took a photo but I'm currently and my cousin's house so I won't be able to upload it.) But the shirt turned out alright! Then I just took a video of their dance and did more stuff later on.

On Wednesday, it was a half-day. WOOHOO! Me, Astri and Sarah went to Leederville straight after school. We met up with Astri's older sister and her friend too. We went to eat at Just Burger and omg, it's so good! Seriously! If you have not tried it, you must! I mean, YOU MUST, MUST, MUST try it! I ordered a cheeseburger and Sarah and Astri ordered a chicken Burger. After finishing that delicious lunch, we took a look at some of the shops around there. They were independent cloth shops and there was some awesome stuff in there! Bad thing was, it was way out of our budgets! After that, we went to walked to a retro cafe which had lots of paper lamps hanging and the whole wall was filled with posters! I especially liked the massive Big Day Out poster from 1993 -at least I think it's from that year!-. Then we just went to the city. We kept missing all the buses so we had to keep on running for it! It was definitely our exercise for the day. HAHAHA. Oh and, I bought a snood. HOORAY!

Last night my family celebrated me and my mum's birthday! We went out to eat at Ciao Italia and it was yuuummmmmmmmmmmmm!! Ate so much hahaha. We ordered pizza, pesto mussels, fettuccine, calamari, ravioli and of course, TIRAMISU! The Tiramisu is the best. Now I feel like eating it hehehe. Did I mention? It was Lauren's birthday yesterday! She's so old! hahahahha.

ME AND MY MUM'S BIRTHDAY TOMORROW! :D
